Do you love Industrial Design? All of the exposed brick and leather furniture and metals and warm wood tones make my heart smile! I would LOVE to redo my entire house to make it this style, but the budget doesn’t allow me to do it all at once, so a little at a time is how I am doing it. DIY projects are a must when on a budget, so I reached out to my DIY blogger buds and asked them to give me their best industrial DIY projects to share with you all. I know you will love them…let’s check them out!
Don’t Forget to Pin for Later!
Industrial Lighting
Michele at Michele James Designs has a great tutorial to turn a clip on lamp into an industrial sconce. She has used them in her bedroom, but they would look great in any room!! Get the how to for these awesome sconces!!
I am always all heart eyes when I see a tripod lamp, but man are they expensive! Sherry over at Savvy Apron made her own and it is WOW!!! She shows us how and you won’t believe how budget friendly this tripod floor lamp is!!
Janice and Beverly of the Sawdust Sisters offer up another industrial sconce. I just love the Edison bulb in this one and the cage lightbulb cover in this DIY industrial light fixture!
This wire basket turned hanging light is going on my to do list! Toni at Small Home Soul gives a great tutorial on how to make this industrial light fixture. I can imagine it hanging in the corner of our family room lighting a great spot to curl up and read a book.
Industrial Style Storage
Medina over at Grillo Designs has an IKEA hack for children’s toy storage. Any boy would love to have this in his room!! You have to see what happens when you open the bottom (I won’t give it away) I could even see making a few changes and you could put this industrial storage project anywhere in your home!
This IKEA hack from Claire at Pillar Box Blue ticks off all the boxes for industrial design! Her industrial storage ottoman has me longing for a trip to IKEA to make it myself….I know my hubby has an old pair of jeans I could use 😉
The most amazing storage DIY has to be this makeover of an old dvd storage shelf from Michele J. Designs. What an awesome makeover! Who wouldn’t want this industrial storage shelf in their home!
Industrial Design Accessories
Victoria from Dazzle While Frazzled had a hilarious time trying to explain to the hardware guy just what she was looking for, but he was patient and walked every isle with her until they found just what she needed to make theses industrial DIY planters.
Medina at Grillo Designs reworks her old vintage window wall decor into an awesome industrial style bulletin board. I am loving the numbers and the metal tins!!
I am a sucker for serving trays as decor and Suzanne at shopatblu.com made this awesome industrial tray . She has a step by step tutorial so you can make one for yourself!
Melony over at the Sledgehammer Queen added industrial style to the stairway in this flip house by changing the old railing to steel cable with turnbuckles. I love this and so wish I had a staircase in my home!!
I love all of these industrial style DIY projects! When you are on a budget DIY is the way to go!
