Yep, here I am back with another recipe! I know… I know, I am not a recipe blogger, but when your blogging buddies get together to put together a killer party to share appetizers to feed a crowd….you just have to join in!! I missed out on another party this week because the grandlittles are handing out germs left and right and this Nana got them all! I am finally starting to feel better so I headed into the kitchen (hand sanitizer in tow) to put together this yummy, easy, cheesy salsa and meat dip. This dip is great as an appetizer for any party or even as a meal (we will be having this for dinner tonight 😉 )
Now I just have to confess that we (my hubby and I) are not football fans. SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!! We flip the channel back and forth to catch the commercials and to watch the half time show, but for us the Super Bowl means that the first race of NASCAR is only a couple of weeks away!! High five for NASCAR!!!
Anywho…Lets get cooking!!
You will need:
- 1 jar salsa (any temperature you want)
- 1 jar Con Queso Cheese (white)
- 1 lb hamburger (substitute ground turkey for a healthier version)
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 1 bag Fritos Scoops or Tostitos Scoops
Let’s put it all together!
First, cook your hamburger and sausage. You can fry it on the stove if you like or cook it in the microwave, drain the grease and chop it up nice and fine.
Next, place it in the crock pot and add your salsa and cheese and stir all together. Set the crock pot to high for about 30 minutes or until it is warmed all the way through. Then, set on warm to have it last the whole party long! You can also heat it all the way in the microwave or on the stove then just put in the crock pot to keep it warm.
Serve with Fritos Scoops (this is my favorite way to eat it!) or with Tostitos Scoops. Look at all that yummy goodness trapped on that scoop!!
That’s all there is to it! Easy peasy! I hope you enjoy!!
